My Personal Ethos:

My personal ethos as a teacher is the belief that every pupil has the potential to succeed, and it is my role to nurture their growth by providing a safe, supportive and inclusive environment. I believe every child is unique and learns in their own way and my responsibility is to guide and challenge pupils by maintaining high expectations and providing encouragement. 

Fun Bits:

As a rugby and football mum, my life is full of excitement and energy on game days. From early morning wakeups, getting kit all ready, and losing my voice on the sideline is all part of the thrill. If I am not cheering and supporting my children on a rugby or football pitch, I will be on top of a mountain taking in the beautiful landscapes of our surroundings. I love to walk and appreciate the beauty of nature while making memories with my family. 

My Personal Ethos:

I am a very enthusiastic and conscientious practitioner who is driven by the well being and happiness of pupils. I strive to create learning environments that stimulate and engage pupils while ensuring pupils are nurtured and feel a sense of belonging. I take pride that I am part of the development of future generations in Wales.

Fun Bits:

I am a Disney mad, devoted mum to my son and two fur babies. In my spare time I love to spend time with my family and have a secret passion for Lego building. I love to travel, paint and do all things creative and you can often find me drawing or doodling when I can. I have a passion for the Welsh language and love to encourage others to speak it whenever possible. My favourite Disney character has to be Donald Duck as I love his fiery personality!

I always endeavour to create an authentic and purposeful learning environment for my pupils, with engaging experiences both indoors and outdoors, allowing the children to learn through play. Its a privilege being the enabling adult supporting and extending the children's learning, and being part of those first experiences and wow moments in their school life. When my pupils arrive in school each day with a smile on their face and are eager to learn it makes it all worthwhile.

Fun Bits:

Growing up I always wanted to be a teacher and ... here I am. I have two daughters both away at university, so my time is currently spent walking my dog Betsi and snuggling my cat Amber. I enjoy  travelling with my husband, movie nights and spending time with my friends. I'm happy when I can curl up with a good book and a bag of giant chocolate buttons!

I believe that children are at the heart of everything we do at Bryncoch CIW. Learning should ignite their imagination, spark their curiosity, and inspire a lifelong love for discovery. My goal is to create an environment where every child feels valued, supported, and excited to learn. Education should be engaging, creative, and meaningful, fostering confidence, resilience, and a sense of wonder. In my role as Admin Officer, I am committed to supporting the whole school by ensuring that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, allowing teachers to focus on inspiring young minds. By providing efficient and effective administrative support, I help create a positive and well-organised environment where both staff and students can thrive. Through my work, I contribute to making Bryncoch CIW a place where children feel safe, nurtured, and eager to learn every day.

Fun Bits:

Spending time with my family and my dog, Mavis, is what makes me happiest—especially when we’re off exploring and staying at National Trust properties. There’s nothing better than soaking in the history and beauty of these places; it’s where I truly relax. Music is a big part of my life, and if it’s from the ’80s, even better! I also enjoy crafting and making gifts. Give me a nice cup of tea and a Daim bar, and I’m in my happy place.
